Meet The Team

Cindy Schott

President

Cindy had a busy career, taking her across the country, and living in several different states. After some self-reflection, she realized her real passion was loving animals and the joy of seeing them thrive. This journey brought her to Rustburg, VA, where she started Harmony Rescue with Kathy Freiburgs. She has been here over 15 years and, although she loves all animals, she’s the lead person for all things DOG related.

Kathy Freibergs

VP Operations

Kathy had lived in several states before settling down in Rustburg, Virginia, where she has lived for over 15 years. She had a passion for animals and wanted to have some land to call her own. Kathy owns her own home improvement company and enjoys working on the farm and rescue. Kathy has always loved all animals and is a whisperer to them all. She especially likes the very large and very small animals so she’s in charge of the horses, donkey, rabbits and chinchillas.

Sandy Baker

Secretary

Central Virginia has been home for most of Sandy and her husband’s life. The love of animals and support of animal rescue efforts have always been a priority in her family. After her granddaughter started to volunteer for an animal rescue, Sandy became a foster home to a mother cat and her 4 kittens and was hooked. At any given time, Sandy’s home is a loving sanctuary to the family cats and several foster cats/kittens. Her motto is “Remember, cats are like potato chips…. you can’t have just ONE!!!”

Linda Meadows

Treasurer

Linda has lived in the Lynchburg area for most of her life. She has worked for several non-profits as an accountant and teaches part time. She and her husband Steve share their loving home to several greyhounds and cats. Linda is generous enough to share her time with Harmony Rescue to keep our books and let us know when we are spending too much money.

Martha Wiseman

Medical Advisor

Martha and her family have lived in the Altavista area for most of their life. Martha has previously worked for several vets and now for Ridgeview Animal Hospital. In her spare time, Martha enjoys relaxing, going to UVA games, and listening or going to BonJovi concerts. She and her husband Bill share their loving home to several cats and a Harmony Rescue dog, Maggie.

Sharon Bibler

Webmaster

Sharon and her family have lived in the Lynchburg area for most of their life. Sharon and her husband own K & S Audio Video Solutions. In her spare time, Sharon enjoys developing websites, gardening, cooking, and fostering cats. She and her husband Jeff share their loving home to several cats of their own as well as foster kittens/cats.
